URM feeling this thing out

So I'm graduating from Columbia this year. Cumulative GPA 3.4, upward trend, 4.0 for the last year, humanities major. AA Male, haven't done lsat, but 168+ expected (its just a modified iq test, right?). Ton of internships w prestigious institutions. Had a super shitty childhood, which I guess is what I'll write about in the statement.
Basically, I have no idea what I should be shooting for when/if I apply. Should the URM boost get me into Emory or Harvard? Most postings on here get really heated whenever affirmative action comes up. Any sober, docile takes on my shots of getting into different types of schools? Suggestions on where to apply? Just testing the waters. Will apply next year after taking a little time off.

It'd be easier to give advice if you had an actual LSAT score. Or even if you had a practice test score to work from.
But apply widely and see what happens.

No it's not. Don't expect a 168 until you've actually taken it and proven you can score that well.

Thoughts on HYSE, anyone?
All in favor?
Now, all opposed?

Why are Emory and Harvard in the same sentence?

If you have a 3.4 and high 160s, you should get into at least 1 T14 (assuming yknow, your application is solid, etc.).
Honestly, I'd say aim for 170s and you should be in T6. Good luck!
With that being said...start studying!
