Tough to predict URM cycles, but you should definitely apply to all the T6 schools. Good luck!

I'd guess HYS are solid reaches at worst, and probably a lock anywhere else, with strong $$ prospects throughout most of the t14theman317 wrote:What are my chances at HYS?

I've tested at home as high as 173. Is it worth another shot?

I would only suggest you take the LSAT again if A) you are VERY confident you can beat 170 and B) you are of the "HYS or bust" mentality. You're a lock anywhere else with your current stats with a good shot at scholarships in most of the top 14, and you have a very solid shot at HYS depending on your softs. You don't want to jeapordize that lightly by risking a 165 due to a cold or the guy who wouldn't stop coughing or something.theman317 wrote:I've tested at home as high as 173. Not really. Most people go down from their top PT score by a few points, so a 170 is probably about right for you. Apply now, see what happens. If you aren't happy, then consider a retake. But IMO you have great prospects ahead of you this cycle.theman317 wrote:I've tested at home as high as 173. Is it worth another shot?

If you don't get into at least 2 of HYS something is wrong with your application. You are autoadmit for Harvard and close to it for Stanford. Yale is iffy but comparable to a Caucasian applicant with your numbers shot at NYU--probably a bit higher actually. And frankly, the thing that would hold you back would be your GPA, not your LSAT. Are you still in school? If so then it's worth it to boost your GPA no matter what courses you have to take. But retaking the LSAT is a total waste of time. It won't increase your chances. You've hit the LSAT threshold where schools won't care anymore as an AA male applicant. You'll get a full ride at places like UVA, Duke, Michigan etc.

In at H. Probably in at S too and a decent to good shot at Y. Congrats in advance.

You should go to UVA. People are cool there. You will go for free.
