Urm??

Ok, so my mom is from el salvador, my dad is from new york, caucasian of german irish decent . My mom only made it to 2nd grade and my dad only has his hs diploma....

I usually just select that i am salvadoran (central american) ... Am i still considered a urm?

No, but your diversity might still be considered a small soft factor.

Central and South Americans typically aren't underrepresented in law school/legal field relative to their percentage of the population, so I doubt it will make any substantial difference. But it would certainly do you well to write a diversity statement about your background, as it may provide you a slight boost over those with similar numbers.
