Top Law Schools

Hi,

I have noticed that many schools indicate that that they will not use your demographic information in any way when making there admission decisions. One good example is Michigan. The implication is that if you don't write a DS then there is no boost.

Is this true or bunk? Any evidence would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know which schools are specifically forbidden from doing this (using demographics)?

Michigan for one.

and...

The UC system. Berkeley, UCLA etc.

...and others.
