I'm a biracial female, half black and half white. Would law schools view me more favorably if I identify as AA or as biracial? I personally identify as biracial, but I want to have the best chance of getting into law school as possible.

You want to identify as what you are - biracial. Check the AA box and the White box. Even if you view yourself as biracial, your perception socially is usually as black, so committees consider your application with that in mind.

Barack checked both black and white on his application. Most people consider him black though.

If they have 2 boxes, check 2 boxes. If they only let you check a multiracial box (i've never seen this) then go with black.

Rule of thumb is to identify as you have been up until you decided to apply to school. The schools don't want you to use status in your favor if you haven't been for all these years.
