Harvard

stuff = -45.51043 + 0.15032*LSAT + 5.46698*GPA
probability = exp(stuff)/(1+exp(stuff))

LSAT percentiles (25, 50, 75) = 160, 165, 170
GPA percentiles (25, 50, 75) = 3.545, 3.72, 3.9

LSAT min = 155
GPA min = 2.94

* The data here was particularly good for splitters and the results seem to demonstrate reality. A URM splitter with an LSAT of 175 and a GPA of 3.0 has about a 6% chance of being admitted. By contrast, someone who is at both medians (165 and 3.72) has approximately a 40% of being admitted. Pretty reasonable I would say.

Northwestern U

stuff = -36.44174 + 0.16410*LSAT + 2.85445*GPA
probability = exp(stuff)/(1+exp(stuff))

LSAT percentiles (25,50,75) = 160, 167, 170
GPA percentiles (25,50, 75) = 3.3, 3.6, 3.79

LSAT min = 150
GPA min = 2.66

*Very splitter friendly (traditional and reverse)
**sample population most likely has at least one year of work experience given NU reputation

Yale

stuff: -44.26723 + 0.12019*LSAT + 6.13908*GPA
probability: exp(stuff)/(1+exp(stuff))

LSAT percentiles (25,50,75) = 165, 171, 173
GPA percentiles (25,50,75) = 3.73, 3.84, 3.99

LSAT min: 155
GPA min: 3.6

* The sample size is incredibly small and it seems like most URMs are too terrified to even bother applying

Right now i will have a 2.5gpa after this semeter and it will be higher after summer school. I am a black male and will take the LSAT in June. What "top dchools" do you think I should apply to with my gpa and what LSAT score should I aim for?

UVa

stuff = -49.9379 + 0.2644*LSAT + 1.56962*GPA
probability = exp(stuff)/(1+exp(stuff))

LSAT percentiles (25, 50, 75): 164, 170, 171
GPA percentiles (25, 50, 75): 3.178, 3.685, 3.9

LSAT min = 153
GPA min = 2.66

* The data doesn't take into account the 60:40 ratio of OOS and in-state applicants
** While the model is pretty robust, be wary--the pool of applicants to this school were pretty competitive

I can tell you offhand Cooley, Thomas Jefferson, Cuny, Touro unless you get 155 or above.

won't it not really be significant for Stanford considering how much weight they put on softs?

Brownadam26 wrote:lol yeah my resume screams corporate. I think there is "sweet sweet hope" for us as URMs. But, correct me if I'm wrong, but Michigan really doesn't care about minority status in the admissions process, considering their termination of afirmative action.
Also, I think us URMs are in good shape regardless of the stats of these sites because there are thousands of others like us that don't use these websites because they are afraid the schools they were shockingly accepted into are checking the stats and will reverse their decisions if they see they got cocky by posting their stats lol jkjkjk
I don't see a problem with the bolded. There aren't many of us in corporate working prestige jobs to begin with, be it in finance, engineering, business or law. I seriously believe it all comes down to good numbers and everything else is just added icing on the cake.

And I'd rather have the LSAT score that gets me a full ride or close to full ride than an acceptance letter just because of my stellar softs and not so stellar scores. Of course it doesn't hurt to have both :mrgreen: but I say focus on YOU and and your application and see what happens.

I wonder if flame data was sorted out?

ANYTHING is possible, especially for URMs, but I honestly am not convinced that Harvard goes that low.

I did my best to eliminate really suspicious data. I either missed this particular entry, or I actually checked the profile and felt that it was genuinely sincere. I do know that the lowest Yale went (based on their own released numbers) was a 152 LSAT and a 3.35 GPA. So, who knows?
