This is a great idea. If anything I think it should be expanded on to say the T30 so that the information can help others gauge their chances.

Is this all URMs? Only black people? Some of that UVA data seems questionable.

I didn't apply to many places, but here's my LSN profile to see if it helps at all: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Moxie/jd

I'm an AA male, FWIW.

It includes all URMs, not just AA, and it's all self-reported data on LSN (so some of it might be off). I double checked profiles that seemed like outliers for legitimacy, and if the profile was suspect then I didn't include their data. The UVa data, should be pretty reliable, since it includes some members applying this cycle who are reliable and whose numbers match up with the trends.

OP: Thank you for creating this list.

P.S. @High_Hopes: Check out GULC's numbers if you are impressed by Cornell's admit.

Probably a dumb/obvious question, but are these all spread over 3 years?

Not that dumb, I was actually wondering the same thing (but I just assumed yes).

Yes, divide by 3 to get the per year scholarship.

Good post, but you should post what type of URMs. Since, the Adcomms show the brothas and sistas way more love than they show us hispanics. I kind of what to get an idea of what type of money hispanics get.

That's a pretty good idea. It would be kinda painful to go back and check this though, and from what I remember, a lot of them didn't comment on what type of "self-selected URM" they were. I got the info from LSN

True, I don't realistically expect you to go back and recheck them all, but for the rest of the scholly offers for the cycle, if the type of URM is available, we should add it.

Are these figures solely merit aid or are some of them need-based? I wouldn't want to get my hopes up for nothing, since I prob wont qualify for need-based aid :(

Great thread!

I've been bummed that I haven't heard a peep about scholly $$ yet from the two schools I've been accepted at so far. Seeing those other lowish LSAT #s gives me a little glimmer of hope.

While it is great to know the amount of the scholarship, it is also important to know the conditions for keeping the scholarship.

It is one thing to get a scholarship that covers 3 years if you all you have to do is make progress toward the JD. It is another thing if you have to meet some sort of GPA cut-off in order to get your money next year.

If people who have received scholarships could also state the terms for keeping them it would really shed a new light.

There seems to be some consensus that within the T14, scholarship retention is pretty easy. It doesn't seem that these schools aim to rescind scholarships like some T3/4 schools. If anyone has info about somewhat difficult scholarship reqs, that'd be great to know. I know of one scholarship that only requires full time enrollment and 2.0+ gpa (pretty easy to keep).
