Being a URM at your numbers range is very unpredictable. I don't think anyone will be able to speak to your exact situation but some general advice is to apply to a much wider range of schools than a standard applicant, and obviously write a DS.Steveserna25 wrote: That's actually a great way to look at it. I don't really understand how being a URM affects my chances. Does it usually give you a significant boost?
My PS is half personal and half cultural with work experience and "why law" overtones. My DS is strictly diversity/adversity/cultural exchange. I don't feel they are redundant as they both cover different areas of my cultural experiences. I think it works, but I could be wrong.Steveserna25 wrote:Yeah I can't really find anything concrete to indicate where i stand. Is it appropriate to write a Diversity statement if your personal statement discusses my heritage/Socio-economic background? Or would that be redundant?St.Remy wrote:Being a URM at your numbers range is very unpredictable.
