Top Law Schools

I know people hate these threads. But just want to realistically know what chance I have at getting into a top law school. My LSAC GPA is 3.3, but have addendum (large amount of deaths in my family during UG) but I also have no softs (dealt with full time job and probate case during UG). So give me three LSAT scores based on:
1. Have an outside chance/no chance to get into a T-14
2. Solid chance for T-14
3. Definitely in

I am MA, and I do not have a current LSAT score (sorry), just wanted a guideline of what my expectations should be. Thanks!

I can only advise you shoot for as high as possible an LSAT score. Forget about ranges of what will and will not work. Study hard, take the exam and see where you stand. This is where you current focus should lie.

I understand the sentiment, as I won't just get complacent in regards to studying once I hit a benchmark, I plan on getting the best score possible. I just need to know what I need in order to get into a good law school.

Get a 170 and ED to one of mvpdg and you will almost surely get in

1. Anything at or below 160. You could get a pass if in the high 150s, which would heavily depend on other aspects of your application
2. Mid to high 160s+
3. 170+ with money

I'm Mexican American, so surprised that a sub 169 would hurt me. Is the GPA just really terrible?

I think this is generally true. Also, plan on applying north and east. The UC schools (Berkeley, UCLA, etc.) tend to favor high GPAs in general, and also you see less of a boost at CA and TX schools because they get far more applicants and therefore get Mexican-American students more easily. I think if you can get into the 160s you'd actually have a better chance at the lower T14 than UCLA or UT-Austin for this reason.

170 makes you golden and almost assuredly gives you $$ in the T14. Push for that as hard as you can. But 160s is not a bad thing if it's what you end up with, and you're still in a decent situation there.

Yeah that's the odd thing about being MA, as I feel that UCLA and UT-A are better schools than Georgetown, yet I have a greater chance of getting into Georgetown if I hit a mid 60. Definitely not complaining about URM boost, but my URM status is more common in regards to applicant pools for CA and TX.
