Is a Disabled Veteran (Chapter 31) considered an URM?

Sorry if this has come up before, new to the forum, but can anyone help with the answer?

No, URM is a legal construct allowing for schools to give boosts to those of certain races or ethnic groups in order to accomplish specific goals of increasing diversity. As such, non-racial categories like disabled veterans are not URMs, by default.

However, it's still possible that you'll get a diversity boost, especially if you have a rather strong Personal Statement. It's just not likely to be as large as the URM boost.
