My mother is Mexican, dad is American, and I grew up in Latin America but went to college in the US. How many points do you think the admissions committees will boost my LSAT score?

It's not that simple, but as long as you check the "Mexican" box, you'll perform around as well as a non-URM with an LSAT 5-7 points higher than yours.

The "URM boost" does not work like that.

Mexican American here-

Did you write a diversity statement? did ur ps touch on diversity/give a compelling narrative? If you don't mention why you would bring something unique to the class then ur boost could be minimal. If went further than checking the box your boost could be moderate to substantial.....Mex-American cycles seems to vary alot on LSN

Yes, I wrote a thorough diversity statement and my PS highlights th fact that I bring a rare (= under rpresented?) perspective and experience to the student body.

So, it's not factored into an equation, per say?

But, if I am in the 25 percentile at a given school, for example, my "under representedness" might mitigate my lower score (163 at a school with a 166 median, say)?

URM status does factor into the equation but it is not something that an be quantified numerically.

I always wondered if anyone has ever successfully written a diversity statement implying that they will bring to a particular school the unique perspective of someone less qualified to be there...

i dont see an option for NO POINTS.

Are you a permanent resident or U.S. citizen? If not you probably won't get a boost.

George Bush, but back then it was just part of the personal statement.
