And some of us have phones for Proles! If only Cingular had decent coverage in the place I went to high school when my family first got cell phones in ~2003, then maybe I'd have AT&T and an iPhone today instead of T-Mobile and an Android (it's actually a decent phone -- but no Grindr). If I'd been thinking, I might have got an iPod Touch back in September instead of my Nano, but I really like having a radio tuner, which I think is exclusive to the Nano.

had grindr been on android, i probably would've stuck with t-mobile. the network's definitely a lot less congested and much more reasonably priced.

I thought that they were trying to port it to android and certain blackberry phones. Honestly, the developers would be stupid not to.

it's released on the blackberry platform now, but i would never want to switch back to a blackberry. ever.

I think there is one for Android called Encountr. If anyone listens to the "Ben and Dave's Six Pack" podcast from iTunes, they talked about it on one of their recent episodes

In my experience watching my friends play around with Grindr, there have been some pretty awkward situations spawned by an app that works like a metal detector. Like one time, my friend and I were on Grindr and found our married Teaching Assistant looking for some A4A. lolll

I actually had a friend laugh at me a few days ago when I told her I was doing research on a school and I looked at a dating site to see how many lesbians were in the area. I actually think it's an intricate part of my research now because I'm currently stuck in Charleston, WV for a year volunteering and there are absolutely no lesbians. lol

The South Side of Pittsburgh has a decent lesbian population, if you can get up there every once in a while.

And I can't believe this thread is back...I saw it right as I booked my hostels for Pride this year in Reykjavik, Iceland and Amsterdam this August

I'm Jealous. It's 100 degrees outside, no vacation, just summer school and the June scores haven't been released yet. I'm getting a little restless to say the least..

I'm actually horribly under-traveled, so my best friend and I are going to 7 countries in Europe this summer before LS starts. That plus road trips and a ton of hiking out west in Brit. Columbia, Washington, and here in Colorado, are taking up most of my summer.

Pride was the week before the LSAT. Needless to say I didn't partake in any of the festivities. lol But, I've only meet 2 in my 4 mths here.

Thanks! have fun backpacking, BC is Beauuuutiful this time of year. Much more pleasant than the lower rockies (where I usually go) if you like that crisp, slightly chilly mountain air!
