FINALS SCORE SHEET
1. Paper - turned in either 10 mins late or 1 hour 50 mins early. I can't remember if it was due at 12 or 2.
2. Exam #1- 32 question multiple choice with write in partial credit. Finished in 10 min.
3. Exam #2- Six question Cryptography final. Going to kick my ass. Starts in an hour and a half. (TAKE THAT RSA!)
4. Exam #3- Constitutional Law final. Tomorrow. Have not started reading most of the cases yet. May or may not be screwed. (cramming has impaired my vision... test went eh.. ok)
5. Exam #4- Coding Theory. Hopefully will be easier than previous two finals. Not til Saturday, so built in study time is key. (my last final in UG... hmmm)
Tally as of now
4 down
1 to go.

the end is winding down
and the light at the end of the tunnel is a doorway to an open valley
where i shall test the limits of the strength i learned in the dark
where i go from here
is where i go
and where you go
you'll end up at regardless
of the phase of the moon
and the ceaseless ebb and flow of the tides
there is earth here and earth there
and people are likely than not
to give you cheer
and a smile or maybe some tea or beer
if you smile back in return
my life goes on
expands and blooms
and the visions that impress themselves upon my eyes
will never do justice to the things i've seen
and the words i've felt
before you spoke them
i heard
so take cheer press on
and bring yourself to every place you lay your head
retracing your tracks to find your thread
is a day lost to explore the unsaid
so my friends
we may not speak for days or weeks or an era or three
but it is never the end
until the sun sets over me.

((with my finals and graduation a week away, and moving, and traveling, and etc. i'm probably going to be pulling myself off of TLS. I'll still be checking up here every now and then, and bets are I'll be back come August, but i've got some stuff to do that i've been putting off for way too long.))
so so long, be well, and never forget.

this song sums up my entire being right now.
(video here one down live)
ben folds - one down
I woke up and drove to work on the wrong side of the road,
and what the hell would I do,
I must admit I didn't know,
and Andrew came along y'all
to add a couple of lines or so,
i've got one I finished yesterday,
and i've got 3.6 to go.
One down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
one down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
People tell me Ben,
just make up junk and turn it in,
but I never was alright with
turning in a bunch of shit,
I don't like wasting time
on music that won't make me proud,
but now I've found a reason,
to sit right down and shit some out.
One down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
one down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
yeah, yeah
I love you more than
any man has love before
I love you more all the stars up in the sky
I think that we should settle down and live happily forever, after
what do you think of that?
I'm really not complaining,
I realize it's just a job
and I hate hearing belly-aching rockstars whine and sob
Cause I could be busing tables
I could well be pumping gas
but I get paid much finer for playing piano
and kissing ass
this is one I wrote just an hour ago
and 3.6 at last
One down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
one down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
one down and 3.6
one down and 3.6
tomorrow and im out of here
thanks y'all

i think someone should come up with a tiers of importance for law school admissions.
obviously top tier would be lsat and UG GPA
but below that everyone wants to know a general idea of how important upward trend is as compared to UG rigor as compared to choice of major/minor as compared to LOR as compared to URM status as compared to having a masters, etc.
really.
i want to know.
someone needs to do this.
vague lurking adcomm spies (or gunner admit who knows someone in admissions) i'm looking at you.
edit: calculated my final LSDAS gpa.
i'm not happy about it.
it puts me on the cusp at columbia (according to this year's graph)
let's hope my stellar off year/soft factors (stellar.. haha)
help.
time to go do something.

(all cycle related posts shall be made in blue.)
LSAC processed my transcripts, officially know how much I got screwed over by being an architecture student for one semester. (hint: 1.2 gpa points)
Official Numbers : (~3.4/~175)
LOR: Two asked, but haven't given forms too, (what the crap am i waiting on?)
PS: little planning. need to get started on.
that is all.

People who eat pennies are stupid. I mean, it’s obvious what’s going to happen. Your body isn’t going to be able to digest a damn penny, okay? Same goes for shards of glass or thumbtacks or pieces of errant plastic or even little lego pieces. I’m past that. I’ve moved on. Matured. But when it comes to these damn packing peanuts they call out to me like they know what I’m thinking. They’re all “Pauly, don’t you want to try just one of us?”” and I’m all “No thanks Mr. Packing Peanut, I think you’ll just give me a stomach ache” and they’re all “Oh, c’mon — what’s the worst that could happen?” and I’m all “I could get sick” and they’re all “Sicker than when you got food poisoning from Pizza Hut?” and I’m all “How did you know about that?” and they’re all “We’re packing peanuts, Pauly — we know all.”
Let this be a warning to all of you. Anything you write and publish on the web could turn into data fodder for linguists, or even worse, linguistics students. Bwahahaha.
Oooh. There’s something I could research: the distribution of spellings of evil laughs on the web. There seems to be a bit of variation in the onset (bwahahaha vs muahahaha vs buahahaha vs mwahahaha) not to mention variability in the number of “ha”s. (We can get from two “ha”s, as in bwahaha, all the way up to…I’m not sure how many. I got as far as googling
“bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha”
and was amused to get 7180 hits, and this:
Did you mean: mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
