Northeastern--we even got a flyer in our admissions packet proclaiming itself the "gayest law school in the country." We have LGBT groups, classes, the annual "Gay/Lesbian/Bi-Sexual Graduates Network" list, and many openly out faculty/staff.

Unanimously, all of students believe that homophobia is a serious problem on the campus. Eighty percent of those responding report being the victims of hate mail, verbal abuse, harassment, and vandalism.

Sounds like a nice place for gay people.

If you look more closely, the section you're quoting from is the undergrad survey. The law school has its own description and statistics in the book, which are much more positive. I can't speak to the undergrad atmosphere as the law students have very limited interactions with them, but the law school institution itself is very responsive and sensitive to LGBT issues. It's not uncommon for law schools to be much more progressive than the undergrad programs that they're affiliated with.
