Top Law Schools

My thoughts (from what I know, which definitely isn't all 100 of them)

North Carolina, Washington and Lee, Wake Forest, William and Mary, and Georgia seem to have really nice Southern-colonial traditional-feeling campuses.

UConn Law has a terrific nice Gothic-styled campus. I'd use Gothic Wonderland if Duke didn't already own the title.

Santa Clara has a really attractive campus, similar to style and feel to Stanford. Spanish-mission style. Nice vibe.

Wisconsin, Ohio State, Indiana, & Iowa are known for their vibrant towns thanks to their UG populations.

I'd say UConn, Roger Williams, Pepperdine, Columbia, Quinnipiac, Stanford, and Harvard have the nicest buildings and campuses.

*Per football, Big 10 in the Midwest would probably give you your fill.

*Per basketball, UNC and Wake Forest have great teams in a great area.

Penn State just opened a new law library/building so I imagine it is pretty nice. Also, Marquette's new law building will be ready in 2010 I believe. Penn State has the football, I think Marquette is pretty OK at basketball.

I've heard Bloomington is a great college town (decent law school too). Once upon a time, they were a great basketball school.

And WTF, Columbia? Their main campus might be nice, but have you even seen the law building?

I would say Mich, too. The photos make me melt and I cannot wait to visit.

You know I will. It sucks that I will be on work travel for most admit weekends...Do you think they may reimburse me if I send proof of my work obligations?

Pepperdine is in Malibu. It's really the most they have going for them.

It does pretty much amount to selling your soul to live near beautiful beaches.

U of Washington has a newer building (builit in 2002 I think) and it's hard to complain about their campus in general.

The prop 8 dude graduated from Western State. How did he even get a job teaching at Pepperdine.

Maybe he was in a lame commercial and the dean saw it. Maybe him and the (male) dean had a fling...who knows.

Kansas has a decent law building on a beautiful campus. The law building is also across the street from Allen Fieldhous, which is perhaps the best place in the country to watch college basketball. Lawrence is also a pretty cool town if you can tolerate the small-town vibe. Basketball team is also (usually) pretty awesome.

I'll put in a vote for Lawrence. I don't know that it's the best, but it's a very pretty campus. And Lawrence is a pretty good time too.
