University Of Washington Biglaw placement

Post by Inhousefuture » Tue Aug 30, 2022 11:45 am

Hello, for the 15 percent or so who get Big-Law or semi-big law:

1. What are Big Law market salaries in Seattle?

2. What are some of the firms that hire in Seattle?

3. What are the exit options like at Seattle Biglaw?

Thanks

Seattle is not market, so it will vary firm to firm, last I heard Perkins paid 205k and DLA Piper pays 215k for every office (so I assume Seattle is the same). DWT and Stoel Rives are usually pretty far behind on comp so I would imagine 170-190k?

Perkins, DWT, DLA Piper, Cozen O'Connor, Stoel Rives, K&L Gates, Cooley, Wilson Sonsini, Fenwick, Dorsey Whitney are the typical big law powers that be in Seattle, but just know the majority these offices have VERY small summer classes (if they have them at all).

I would imagine exit options are at the major employers in Seattle and dependent on your practice group, so it's way to broad of a question to ask.
