Hi I am trying to choose between University of Michigan Law School and University of Chicago.
COA at U Mich is ~150k total and U Chicago is ~300k total. I'm planning on financing tuition with loans and paying for rent with personal savings/2L earnings. I am going to try to negotiate a scholarship with Chicago but don't know if that's likely.
I am living in Miami and would like to live here long term; however, I do love DC and wouldn't mind NYC for a few years.
I think that I want to go into Big Law and ideally work in International trade/transactions/arbitration. Wouldn't mind government work.
My LSAT was a 168 (took it twice) and GP was 3.9

If goal is biglaw then 100% Michigan, not even close. Really not even close for any goal, that’s so much money saved.
No scholarships from UVA/Duke?
