When deciding on a law school, most applicants won't consider an unaccredited law school due to the limited job prospects available after graduation. US News recently published an interesting comparison of accredited vs unaccredited schools, and they make valuable points about the affordability and convenience of these programs.

In your opinion, is an unaccredited law school ever worth it? Why or why not?

Under certain very limited circumstances, maybe. The student has to be absolutely sure that the degree will meet his or her professional goals. If for example I were a mid career Californian with no intention ever to live anywhere else AND I did not harbor dreams of a job in a large commercial firm or with the federal government AND I was making my choice for reasons other than academic inability to get into an ABA approved school, then maybe. For that matter, if I were the student I describe, paying even half tuition at any Californian ABA approved school would be a poor financial choice.
