Data, Privacy, Technology & Regulation Law Programs

Post by richardsond2015 » Sat Sep 05, 2020 12:46 pm

Does anyone wish to study data, privacy and consumer rights with respect to technology?
Which schools offer such programs ?

Does anyone know of anyone currently studying in this field as a law student?

I’m looking for any available information or suggestions. Thank you.

Law school doesn't really lend itself to a lot of specialization. You can take classes relevant to that practice area probably at every law school in the country, and the best way to specialize is to get internship/work experience, do research papers (where required) in relevant topics, maybe do a journal note on a topic, RA for a prof who works in the area. You don't need to look for a school that offers a program labeled with any of those things to prepare yourself to work in that field.

I would agree with this. Berkeley law has a fairly strong privacy and tech law program though!
