Elon Law ditches 2/3 of bar faculty in midst of 44% pass rate

Your law school has had a pass rate in the 40% range for 2 years, now nearly 30 points below state average.
It's what everyone predicted, knowing that the admissions those two years were far too lenient.
Now you're about to graduate your 1st class from the new 2.5 year program who will all take the bar in February--a class admitted with substantially more stringent standards.
What should we do?
Who should we blame?
It's clearly not the dean of admission's fault.
It's clearly not the law school dean's fault--the one who stepped down after those two admissions classes.

Answer?
We should get rid of 2 out of 3 bar and academic support faculty--the hardest working faculty at the school--due to interpersonal dislike that we can't put aside for the good of the students. And we should do it 6 months before they're about to take the bar. And we should replace them with two recent graduates who haven't been able to find jobs so that we can pad our "employed" statistics for the LSAC and have never taught a day in their lives.

If you want pettiness and infighting, Elon is the place for you.
If you want to pass the bar and become a lawyer--go someplace else.

You realize that this forum isn't for Elon Law, right? So addressing everything to them as though they're reading it is weird.

I originally read this as: Elon ditches 2/3 of its faculty, which would be a pretty crazy story. Either way, those bar passage rates are pretty shocking. Schools like this can't survive, right?

That's how I read it too.

"Law school replaces two bar faculty with recent grads" isn't really that much of a headline to me.

Annnnnd holy crap their median LSAT is a 147? OP wasn't kidding about admissions standards.

Elon seems a good candidate to shut down. It has probably one of the largest drops from undergraduate rankings to law rankings for any law school.

Teach students how to take the bar/do better in their classes.

the salary for 3 full time bar advisors can probably pay for barbri/themis for their entire graduating class.
