If your goal is to practice in Colorado, and not biglaw in Colorado, I'd go to Boulder. Do you have goals other than just be in CO? Whats your debt from both options?

I don't think it's as simple as needing "x ranking" to be Denver secure. I dount anyone at any school, maybe outside the top few Boulder students, are Denver secure. The market is both small and insular.
Would you rather work for a small firm in CO, or a big firm in a major market if the choice came down to that?

by grades??
at one of those schools- my median friend got Colorado biglaw without ties. He is a sample size of 1 so take it with a grain of salt

I think ultimately taking MVPB would be the right decision. You have significant ties to the CO market. Even if you went to Boulder you can't guarantee work there. So the above question about worst outcome should be the decision: would you prefer an easy shot at biglaw anywhere than to go potentially unemployed?

CU places about 68% of grads in any JD-required job (14% in biglaw/fedclerkship). So you'll likely have a higher shot at biglaw from MVPB than becoming a lawyer at all out of CU.
