Vandy $$ v Emory $$$ v UGA $$$

Hey guys, here's my info:

I'm stuck between Vandy, Emory, and UGA. 3 years of tuition after scholarships will cost me 82k at Vandy, 15k at Emory, and 10k at UGA. My parents will cover cost of living and contribute up to 50k total for tuition. Basically, I'm looking at taking on about 30k in debt for Vandy or being totally debt-free at Emory or UGA.

I'm from GA, went to UVA for undergrad, currently live and work in ATL. I want to stay in the southeast to practice. I like Atlanta a lot, but don't want to limit myself in terms of only being able to practice here. I'm hoping to pursue a clerkship then biglaw.

GPA is 3.89, LSAT 164 then 165. Retaking isn't an option.

Thanks in advance!

$30k total debt is well worth it for Vandy, compared to your other options

Fed Clerkship:
Vandy 10%, Emory 4%

BL:
Vandy 37%, Emory 26%

unfortunately

Living in Nashville for a least 3yrs:
Vandy 100%, Emory 0%

I'd probably do Vandy with your parent's generosity.
You already have Atlanta ties it seems so no reason to go all-in with Emory.

Just going to repeat what others have said above. With your parents kicking in 50K, Vandy. Without that contribution, probably Emory. Either way, looks like you'll be in solid shape.

Good luck. 8)

Thanks, guys! I think Vandy is the clear front-runner.
