Unranked vs. Lower T1

Hi TLS. It has been a while.

My significant other is trying to choose between an unranked school with a half-ride (she would pay about $27k per year) or a lower T1 (she would pay about 40k per year).

Both schools can perform well in the local market, where she plans to stay. She has some connections at the unranked school and it has public interest clinics she would like to join. The T1 is well...better at everything else.

What do you all think?

EDIT: 40k for T1, had the wrong numbers.

Literally couldn't matter less. Just compare COA to employment numbers in your market.

I think OP is referring to T1 as the ranked schools and not the top 50 which is the accepted definition on this site. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but people who end up paying money at T4's(which is what unranked schools are referred to) aren't typically one's who get scholly money from T1's.

T1 meaning top 50, and unranked meaning forsaken by U.S. News and sent to live beyond the wall.

Wow, that is a very odd position to be in? If you have the stats to get into a T1, you should be looking at a full (or near-full) at a T4, at least in my personal experiences.

Did she only apply to the two schools? What legal market is she looking at?

Need to know two things:
1. What is her goal for her legal career?
2. Can she retake?

Damm, that is a bizzare scenario. I'm almost positive the T1 is the better situation here as almost all T1's(if not all) have employment stats worth 13k more a year than TTTT's.
