So, I have seen posts on this school on this forum (transfers, on campus interviewing, whatever). What's the deal with this school? Is anyone happy there?

All things considered it's one of the very worst law schools in this universe and it should definitely be shut down.

Right, people keep describing it as a dumpster fire, but what makes it so bad? Professors, the administration...?

Mostly job prospects, cost, screwing over students who try to transfer out, stuff like that. Just generally being emblematic of everything wrong with law school these days.
I bet the Profs are fine (as far as law school profs go, which is a horrifically low bar, admittedly)

When people talk about a law school being good or bad, they're almost always talking about costs and job prospects. Professors are basically a wash wherever you in terms of ability to teach you the material. Professors at HYS almost certainly have better connections their students can try to tap, but in terms of the quality of the education, I don't think there is much difference. Professors at Directional State U are just as capable of teaching a bunch of 1Ls about torts.

Expensive tuition, located in high cost of living city, and has poor job outcomes. It's (almost) never a good choice to attend a school like this.

It looks like their career dean has been there nearly 15 years.

And I'm sure some people have worked at Cooley for just as long. That has no bearing on the quality of the school.

It's frightening that there's no accountability there. But of course there isn't, it's a scam.

And that's supposed to be a plus because...?
Granted, no single dean of career services at a law school is going to have that much impact of an impact anyway, because employers tend to hire from where they've always hired. But if anything, your point only proves that the school is unwilling to do even what little it can to try to shake up the administration in the hopes of producing better results for its students.

No, definitely not necessarily a plus. Especially since AU seems to be dropping in the rankings year after year. I wonder who else in the administration is fossilized in place.

Literally every word of that post is incorrect.

It is technically a school and is located in a market. That's about the best I can say of it.
