ED Columbia?

Hello all,

I'm a senior at Berkeley with 3.98 UGPA and 172 LSAT. I major in political science and economics. I'm not very strong in terms of extracurricular activities or leadership experience. I don't have any published writing or honor thesis. My advantage is probably my background as an international student from China.

I always consider Harvard my top choice, but I hate to take risk. Since I'm aiming at Biglaw and it's very unlikely that I will work in government or academia, I feel that CLS is equally competitive.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!

Hello no. You have T14 full ride numbers and could very well snag Harvard.

Under no circumstances should you ED Columbia. Your numbers are competitive at every school in the country. You will most likely be accepted to multiple T6 schools (likely including Harvard) and receive substantial merit based scholarships at the lower T14.

Thank you all for reply. Yeah I think I will probably just RD Columbia. I feel that if I ED I will lose my bargaining chip in scholarship.

definitely RD the t14. Your numbers are good and you will get some good money. Don't ruin that by EDing. Good luck!
