Big Law Houston

I am currently an UG at UH. I work intake at a national Mass Tort/Litigation firm in Houston. I am class of '18 and plan on going to law school post grad. I hope to break into Big Law one day and I have looked into the placement stats for Texas schools and they are fairly discouraging. I am looking for insight as far as law schools in state or out of state to attend in order to crack Houston or Dallas Big Law. I am looking for a school with generous financial aid or cheaper tuition, and preferably somewhere that will help me get well connected with Big Law alum. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how relevant this data is considering how long ago it was, but my boss at a boutique IP firm in Houston went to University of Tulsa back in the 80s. He then worked for Baker Botts in Houston, then Shell, and now owns his own practice.

If you want to break into the Dallas market, I imagine Dedman would be a good place to start.

Completely irrelevant.
OP: If you want biglaw in Texas, your choices are UT or T14. That's it. You may get biglaw from UH or SMU, but the odds are below 25% at any school lower than UT.

Post LSAT and GPA for any serious responses.

Or you could go to Tulsa and end up shooting 9 people. Just another data point.
