Top Law Schools

Hello,
Here’s my whole story, some advice would be very useful:
I am Lebanese and completed the French Baccalaureate in Lebanon. I wanted to study law abroad so I decided to apply to many different places. I got accepted to Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris where I just completed my first year as well as a few universities in the UK.
I chose to go to Panthéon-Assas because a degree in French Law would enable me to come back and practice in my native Lebanon (since Lebanese law is widely inspired by the French legal system), an option I am not ready to rule out.
I was however told many times by different lawyers that a degree in Common law would be far more useful on the international scale than a French civil law degree.
I’ve had a very hard year figuring everything out and this all gets me down to one question: would it be wiser of me to transfer to an English speaking university (knowing that I have a good level of fluency in English) or would having a degree in French law offer me the same opportunities in the long run?

If you're looking at universities abroad (which I assume you might be, as this board tends to be fairly US-centric) then I would suggest taking a look at the programs in Canada at McGill or at University of Ottawa. Both have bilingual options that would grant you both a civil law and common law degree in the same amount of time that it would take to get one. This would allow you to keep open the option of returning to practice in Lebanon while also having the more internationally-useful common law degree
