Horrible plan. You need to wait and reapply. What's your GPA?FutureJD45 wrote:I have a choice of attending AJMLS, FAMU LAW or Texas Southern for free. Need guidance plan is to attend 1L and transfer.
Did you know that Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University has a law school? I feel like I was happier before I knew that.mornincounselor wrote:And honestly, I've been in the law school game a long time, and I have no idea what those other acronyms are.
You didn't read closely. He has a plan. He's going to transfer out. Obviously, despite the fact that he's border line brain dead as evidenced by the fact that he can't get into a real law school, he's going to be in the top 3% of the class, enabling him to transfer out. He's going to be able to convince all the professors to release his grades on time so he can apply (despite the fact that shit hole law schools like this routinely hold back grades so that students can't transfer). He's going to beat the curve and have no problem transferring out.cavalier1138 wrote:Did you know that Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University has a law school? Seriously, OP: no. No to all of those schools, and a huge no to your plan to transfer. Retake and reapply, because it's much easier than coming in the top of your class, even at these schools.
I think this is the best post I ever read on TLS.reasonable_man wrote:You didn't read closely. He has a plan. He's going to transfer out. It's all good Op. I'd say go with AJMLS, strictly because in the nearly 10 years I've been practice law I've never heard of the school. So if you're going to make an awful decision, go big or go home.
3% of the time, it works all the time.reasonable_man wrote: Obviously, despite the fact that he's border line brain dead as evidenced by the fact that he can't get into a real law school, he's going to be in the top 3% of the class, enabling him to transfer out.
Whoa.... You just blew my mind. That's like a 100% chance of success....pancakes3 wrote:3% of the time, it works all the time.reasonable_man wrote: Obviously, despite the fact that he's border line brain dead as evidenced by the fact that he can't get into a real law school, he's going to be in the top 3% of the class, enabling him to transfer out.
It's Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I wasn't making that up. It's a real law school. Repeating that fact is making me sad again.bmathers wrote:Is FAMU Franklyn and Marshall Univ?? I'm trying to figure out the acronym. Then it's AJM law school... what does AJM stand for though?? Akron has a lazy river, FYI

Not to mentioned also a top 50 law school!Clyde Frog wrote:You need to cast a wider net, especially with schools like Akron that have a lazy river.FutureJD45 wrote:I have a choice of attending AJMLS, FAMU LAW or Texas Southern for free. Need guidance plan is to attend 1L and transfer.
Rankings don't really mean a lot. You want to look at job prospects and lazy river quality.raven1231 wrote:Not to mentioned also a top 50 law school!Clyde Frog wrote:You need to cast a wider net, especially with schools like Akron that have a lazy river.FutureJD45 wrote:I have a choice of attending AJMLS, FAMU LAW or Texas Southern for free.
