Top Law Schools

Biggest factor is life after law school for me. Where is easier to end up in Big Law and with a higher salary. Don't care about debt or living situation right now I have that all handled. So just want to look at life after law school, help please!

Neither will likely get you big law.

Honestly, this is a question that LST can answer for you. Davis provides a very slight advantage re: biglaw.

Honestly, I think a lot of this comes down to debt, quality of life, etc., which you don't want us to consider. That stuff matters though, because you probably don't want to be miserable living in a particular place during law school or handcuffed to a job because of excessive debt after law school.

It would also be helpful if you would post your numbers (I suspect a retake might help you, but that you don't want people to give you that advice).

I don't think Davis is worth $35,000 more than Hastings for a 2% increase in your chance at a Biglaw job. That said, you have an excellent GPA. Berkeley, UCLA, and USC are all better schools than Hastings/Davis. You would be much better off retaking the LSAT and going to one of those schools.

Yeah I considered re-taking it but the LSAT was so tricky I felt like I did the best I could have but maybe I should at least try.

The LSAT is definitely not tricky bro. Hop on over to the LSAT forum on this site and get the right materials and plan going. Study a shit ton, take a lot of practice tests, believe in yourself and you'll be good to go.

Give yourself a few months and grind away. If you can get a 160, i'm fairly confident you can raise that up 10 points with 3-4 months of drilling. The LSAT is such a learnable test. I've been studying for less than a month and I feel like my understanding of the test is night and day. Far from the 180 I want, but way closer.

I difference in COL between SF and Davis far surpasses $35,000 over three years though.
But yeah, retake OP and go to these schools for free or better ones.

OP- don't go to either if you want big law. It'll be far, far, far easier to get a 170 on the LSAT than it is to get big law from one of these schools. Just devote yourself to a retake (two if you have to). These schools almost certainly won't get you where you want to go.
