Schools Losing ABA Accreditation

Keeping speculation to a minimum, what actually happens to law schools when they lose their accreditations? More importantly, what happens to their students? Is there a list of schools that have lost their ABA accreditation somewhere? I'd be interested in researching those schools and learning what the fallout was in each case.

The aforementioned questions will become more and more relevant as long as law school admissions stats continue to decline. unranked law schools are not nearly as incentived (in the short run at least) to reject lower quality applicants. The diploma mills looking to simply maximize their revenues will continue to see declines in their BAR passage rates until this stops.

I believe BYU Law School is under investigation right now by the ABA regarding their accreditation. Apparently their policy of kicking out people who leave the Mormon Church may violate some ABA accreditation standards. Below are some articles.
