Top Law Schools

Hey everyone so I'm trying to decide between the three schools above. I should note that I've also been waitlisted at Penn, Columbia, Georgetown, Michigan, UCLA, and WUSTL, which I plan on riding out at least part of the summer. Given that I want to work in CA after law school, what do you guys think the best option is? My schollys are as follows:

Vandy- 110k
USC- 120k
Emory- 132k

I'm a KJD and am finishing up my undergrad at USC now so I'm very comfortable here but my parents think that may be unfairly influencing my decision. I was leaning toward USC since I want to work in CA (in norcal though not socal) but it seems kind of crazy to turn down an 85% scholarship from Emory, especially since USC/LA is crazy expensive- what do you guys think? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to work in CA, USC is probably the better option. You will be in a better position to network with potential employers and have a foot in the door with a larger alumni base. You're already in LA anyways, might as well stay if that's where you want to end up after school.

That's a lot to pay for USC if you will be funding w/ loans. Try to get a bump. I think a 150k scholly to USC is a good value. Anything below that starts sending your debt at graduation far above 100k.

Of these three, I'd say USC is definitely your best bet if you want to work in CA. Is that where you are still leaning?

It would make absolutely no sense to attend Emory here, nor would it make much of any sense to choose vandy over usc.

I'm concerned that you think Emory is hard to turn down. It shouldn't be anywhere on your radar with your stated goals and other options. Where are you getting your info/advice on law schools from?

I'd go USC. See if you can get $135k first. Try to keep COL low.

If you want west coast, absolutely go with usc here. No reason to pick the other 2.
