Hi,

I have to submit an intent to enroll form to GULC by today because they're giving me an Opportunity Scholarship that waives the deposit. While GULC is on my short list, I'm still waiting for financial aid packages from CLS and Berkeley. The intent to enroll form is a non-binding agreement...is it best for me to just say yes to GULC at this point and just wait for the financial aid offers from the other two (as opposed to just declining on the spot today)? My top choice is CLS but it's just hard to predict how much I'll end up getting. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just feel so bad giving a "yes" answer with all these uncertainties and knowing that there's a chance I might renege in a week or two (today's GULC deadline was already extended from a week ago so probably can't extend any further). Please help!!!

Non-binding means non-binding. If you say you "intend" to enroll there and then don't, you didn't break an agreement. You intended to enroll there and then got a better offer.

If they are waiving the deposit and it is non-binding, there is no question you should say yes. No consequences for saying no to them later, as long as you are sure it is not binding.
