Any help is welcome. Hope to be employed out of school, relatively location agnostic. Strong ties to Philly. Minor ties to Boston, NC, TN. In with full at Temple and Villanova. Out at Penn. WL at GULC.

Scholarships:
WUSTL: 25,000/yr
GW: 20,000/yr
Emory: 35,000/yr
BC: 25,000/yr
USC: 25,000/yr

167 LSAT (2 takes), mediocre GPA from top undergrad

What would you do?

I would post all of the information suggested in the sticky at the top of this sub so that posters could give comprehensive feedback.

If you are comfortable working/staying in Philly and can accept that it almost certainly will not be biglaw, I'd go Temple or Villanova.

If you want better options than that, you've got to retake/reapply.

Choose USC. Best opportunity for big law.

That's a bit like saying "pay an extra $X to play the Russian Roulette game with 4 bullets instead of 5."

Personally, I don't like any of the options. And if you knew my stats, you would find my comments relevant to the matter at hand.

What job do you want? Kinda informs the advice here. If you want to be a small-firm attorney, then take the hometown full ride with no debt. If you want biglaw, you'll need to retake. If you want PI, then PI people will have to chime in and help.

I'm not big law or bust but would take it if it was available to me. Interested in litigation.

I'd retake one more time. Not necessarily to get into the t14, but right now excluding Temple and Villanova the other schools are just a little too expensive. I would also try and negotiate with them to see if they can increase the scholarship.

If you're cool coming out of law school making $50k then go with the full ride at the local schools
