Vandy. Well worth the marginal $30K over UGA in your position. Not even a particularly close call, IMO.

Agree with the above. Vandy looks like the best option here.

It just depends on how debt averse you are. For me personally, it wouldn't. I think 100k debt at Vandy is at least justifiable, and it gives you a much better shot at achieving your goal of big law.

Even with full rides or UGA or Bama Vandy seems like the best choice out of your options. 20-30k of debt is not a bad deal at all for your goals.

Why is no one considering Emory? This is a genuine question that I am hoping a previous poster will answer. Emory has to have clout within Georgia (it is the highest ranking law school in the state I believe) and if Atlanta is the #1 goal, this seems like a plausible scenario. A good middle ground between Debt at Vandy, and low employment at UGA. Could someone that knows this information shed some more light on this for OP?

Because after subtracting out school funded jobs, only 61 percent of the class of 2014 had a full-time, JD required job.

Their BL+FC is traditionally not that amazing, while their overall employment stats are consistently poor.

I'm not very familiar with Emory, and it may well give strong students a good shot at ATL big law. It also seems to give its students a strong chance of not becoming a lawyer.

In my situation, Emory is actually slightly more expensive than Vanderbilt.
