Does it make a difference between these schools in terms of getting a job in IP law? 25k/yr at GW and BU, 30k/yr at Fordham, 35k/yr at Emory

I agree. I am unfamiliar with Emory but at GW, every single IP kid had their choice of big law employment options - regardless of grades. Moreover, you can intern at the USPTO office while youre at GW during the school year.patentor wrote:I work in IP law and I know GW and Emory are very good options. With GW and Emory you can go any where in US after graduating, it's not like Santa clara or Southern Methodist Uni where you are stuck only in one area bcoz of your school is only recognized regionally. People underestimate the importance of top schools. Graduating from top law school goes a long way. Top law schools= bigger firm= higher salary. I have attended a symposium at GW and was really impressed. Keep that in mind that GW is one of the top schools in IP law and DC area is one of the biggest market in the country, followed by silicon valley and Dallas/Houston.
