I don't think I would loathe living in CVille, but I imagine it would get really small really fast. Plus, you're constantly surrounded by a college-town/frat vibe, which can wear thin after a few months. Now, that's true to some extent of Palo Alto and Berkeley as well, but you can get away from the college-town atmosphere in about 10 minutes. That's harder to do in CVille, which is more isolated.
