Loyola- LA Part-time and keep my job or Full-time and quit

Not sure which route to take and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a full ride to Loyola and would like to stay in Los Angeles. I currently hold an administrative position with the City Attorney's Office in a department that I love and would like to eventually work in as an attorney.
Some supervisors I've spoken to recommend that I attend law school part time because according to their experience and hiring practices, they prefer to hire people they know and those who have a history with the office.
Can anyone speak to whether or not the above advice is generally true? Loyola's employment stats aren't great (putting it mildly) and so I'll need all the advantages/connections I can get.
Should I keep my job and attend Loyola part time or quit and attend full time?
