1. You are committing to paying for something that has only a moderately decent chance of netting you a grueling job that will let you bring yourself back to zero net worth after 5 years minimum of living frugally. So 8 years total or more just to get back to where you are right now, for the possibility that you will end up making more money than you would've if you chose literally any other career path. Also the randomness along the way like bad grades or a bad OCI experience or getting shitcanned early in your law career could screw even that sad plan up but still leave you saddled with the debt.

No law school is worth sticker. Even with PAYE it just doesn't work well from a cash flow perspective
