H w/ aid vs. T-14 full ride for risk-averse student

Based on my GPA and LSAT, I have a good chance of going to H with aid or getting a full ride at a T-14 school. I am very risk-averse and believe I might finish in the bottom 1/3 of the class. My goal is solely transactional BigLaw and then going in-house. I took a fluff major in undergrad where the profs handed out As like candy, never did much writing, and am K-JD. I also have some family responsibilities that take up my weekends.
The conventional wisdom on TLS is to expect finishing at median and take the money. But if I expect to finish in the bottom 1/3, which school would give me the best outcome?

Putting the cart before the horse since you haven't been accepted yet to H or gotten a full ride to a t-14. But the answer is it depends.
If you got $30k a year in aid from H then probably go with that. But if it is less than that I would go with the full ride at a t14. Also, don't worry about being bottom 1/3 at H. Students at lower t-14s will be just as smart and work just as hard. Just do your best and work hard and I am sure you'll be fine.

80% of harvards class has work experience, KJDs with good numbers are not a shoe-in.
Why would you even make this thread before having offers from schools

His posts suggest he wants info on his biglaw chances from a variety of situations he may be in. This post plus one other is him asking as a 0L interested in Harvard and the other is as a 1L at UChi. Still not the best way to go about it.

Yea what the heck do you want? Don't worry about anything until you get a 170+ LSAT score and then get offers from schools with aid packages.

Exactly what risk are you averse to? The answers here will differ if you are debt-averse from if you are sub-optimal outcome averse. There is risk to either choice, but without knowing the bent (and extent) of your risk aversion, it's impossible to answer this question.
