Re: Going to T2-- someone help my girl.
I had shitty stats, got wait listed at my top choice (NU), ended up at Chicago T2, loved it but transferred anyway.
I'll say what everyone else will: no one should go to a school planning to transfer. I didn't. I hoped I could get to NU but I decided to be happy regardless and do well
I saw lots of people with better grades than me not get in to transfer. But for more info, PM me.
$10k scholly seems very low

Why?stasg wrote:No, there was some other poster who referred to their daughter the same way, like a couple months ago I think. Could be flame still, but maybe not. People are saying don't abbreviate "daughter" that way.Split90 wrote:??BigZuck wrote:Your D

Because the maturity level here is such that "d" means something else.

I don't refer to my daughter as such, but many parents on the parenting forums my wife is on refer to their kids as DD (dear daughter) or DS (dear son), and probably most of them would not associate D with what it means here.

Didn't we already have this discussion on another thread a month or so back with a worried father?

Believe me, I understand. My wife and I both think it is weird and almost cult like all the cutesy abbreviations they have. (E.g., my DH picked my DD up from school and took her to DM's so we could spend the day with DS1 and DS2 since they've been feeling neglected. Ugh. I think I lost some iq points typing that.)chimp wrote:words cannot express how much I hate thisPoopyPants wrote:I don't refer to my daughter as such, but many parents on the parenting forums my wife is on refer to their kids as DD (dear daughter) or DS (dear son), and probably most of them would not associate D with what it means here.
