UNLV law social life?
I've researched the school and do not have any doubt as to its academic quality; I think the fact that it has risen so quickly in the rankings in only 15 years or so years says it alone. However, being new to the region and not bringing anyone with me I am wondering about its social life for students as I have not heard too much about it. To those that know, how friendly are law students and how willing are they to make new friends outside of simply talking between classes? Since most of the students are native to the area I would think it would be difficult as an outsider, plus I have read on forums that a lot of students are older and/or already are married and have a family...please share your thoughts on this matter.

Put some effort into connecting with other students (i.e, attend events, be generally sociable) and you'll be fine.

The difficulties you'll face as an outsider at a regional school will be related to getting a job, not making friends with your classmates. Just be a pleasant, sociable person and you'll be fine.

I mean it's a T2 and probably doesn't place well outside of Nevada, but it's also the only law school in the state of Nevada. Every state has at least one law school with the exception of Alaska.NoLieAbility wrote:UNLV has a law school?
