Law school on main campus Vs. separate campus...

I'd much rather have my law school be on the university's main campus with most of the other grad school programs/undergrad like at Harvard or GW vs. off on it's own like at GULC and BC due to social (only being around law students) and even just school spirit reasons. I would never base my decision only, or even a little on this, but it is something I've been thinking about lately as I research schools. Anyone else feel similarly or differently?

yeah. my school is about a mile away from campus. there is definitely something to be said for missing out on the campus life like that. also, being around people studying science or some shit is somehow calming instead of being surrounded by casebooks.

It doesn't really matter unless you want to take a lot of non-law classes, ogle coeds, or enjoy the wider variety of food available on the main campus. Otherwise, the separate nature means fewer UGs in the law library during finals.

My law school was on the very edge of the main campus, pretty disconnected, and I didn't miss a damn thing. We still had to kick UGs out of the library at finals time. But then school spirit and law school don't really go together for me.

Social reasons?
Like, if you were around non-law school people you would actually socialize with them?
Lol, this thread is a troll job. Law school people don't social with non-law school people. Nice try.
Mods please lock TYIA

It's almost as if I'm a potential law student asking questions and opinions. Sorry I thought this was Choosing a Law School forum, obvious troll is me.

Also no UGs/sports teams in the gym which is 180.

Unless you have some incentive to take non-law classes (i.e, you're a joint masters student or something) undergrads are definitely a net-loss. They take up valuable parking spots, masturbate in moot court rooms, and hog library seats.

Depends on the locations, I'd rather be in Chicago than Evanston for example.

Yeah and GULC is accessible by metro while the UG is not.

GULC undergrad area is way nicer though

Way more expensive too.

Of course they do. Unless you want to whine about journal responsibilities in an endless echo chamber, you can definitely go outside the school for friends. Biggest assholes in those "professional mixers" with other graduate schools were the law students who refused to socialize with any other school while crying about OCI.

Alabama's law school has the best of both worlds--it's on an outer edge of campus near an amazing gym & tennis courts as well (if I remember correctly re: the tennis courts).

Pretty sure you're trolling, but this is false. When I was in undergrad I had two acquaintance friends who were law students.

Undergraduates are the literal worst unless you are still essentially one yourself and/or just want to hold on to that secondary education kindergarten mentality/lifestyle, in which case you are also the worst.

In fairness, you're like super old, aren't you?

I'm going to law school at the same place I did undergrad. Law school is on main campus. I was one of those UGs that would study in the law library when I couldn't find a seat in the main one. Now I'm going to be one of those law students that gets mad at the UGs that do the exact same thing I used to do.

Just about 30, so eh. Like old for K-JD people but not for TLS or compared to a decent chunk of students in my school (a lot are late twenties and some are early-mid thirties).
Pretty sure I've disliked UGs since I stopped being one. Often for the type of behavior I exemplified back then. I don't begrudge them their quirks/behavior I just don't want any part of it.

This. OP once you get to law school and have way too much on your plate all the time and are trying to take life seriously for once it will just piss you off seeing how happy, carefree, and dumb they are. And idk if it's just me but UG kids seem to look way younger than I remember when I was in UG, so it feels like I'm surrounded by 20,000 high schoolers who I just want to punch in the face. Literally the most positive thing I've thought about an UG kid is: STOP EXHALING YOUR VAPE ON ME WHILE IM WAITING IN LINE FOR MY COFFEE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT
