Top Law Schools

Received full tuition from both St. John's and Rutgers-Camden. What are the major pros and cons of each and the better choice?

In order to receive the best feedback in this forum, please provide as much of the following information in your original post as possible:

-The schools you are considering
-The total Cost of Attendance (COA) of each. COA = cost of tuition + fees + books + cost of living (COL) + accumulated interest - scholarships. Here is a helpful calculator.
-How you will be financing your COA, i.e. loans, family, or savings
-Where you are from and where you want to work, and other places where you have significant ties (if any)
-Your general career goals
-Your LSAT/GPA numbers
-How many times you have taken the LSAT

The better choice depends on the data Bortles asked you to provide, and may still nonetheless be "retake, reapply, or don't go to law school."

One positions you for Philadelphia and NJ, and the other positions you for NYC. Granted, Rutgers' merger is about to happen so by the time you graduate (and hopefully by the time you do OCI), even if you may sit in Camden, you will get the better NYC and North Jersey interview access traditionally afforded to Rutgers-Newark law.

Without knowing more, you should base your decision first on whether you want to have access to Philadelphia and NJ markets, and second on your overall impressions and where you'd rather attend (with the caveat that with Rutgers you may well be able to attend classes or wholly move yourself to the Newark campus if you want and thus live in/around NYC/Jersey City etc within your three years-- you should call and ask them about that).
