Assuming you are from Texas. Do you want to work in Dallas or Houston? If you have scholly from SMU, have you tried to negotiate with UH?

From the tuition numbers on LST, that means Houston would be roughly 30k/year vs SMU 31k/year, and that is for tuition alone without factoring in tuition increases and cost of living.

It actually is an option. These are not bad schools, but at each you are looking at over 140k+ in debt, and that makes them very bad options. I would not even take on that much debt for UT, much less a Houston Law Center.

I'm at SMU and I wouldn't choose it at over 100k in debt. I would never choose UH though

At a similarly regarded/ranked school. It's a very bad idea to take out $100k+ for these schools, even though they can be very good options with the right $, goals, etc.

UT isn't worth instate sticker. These schools certainly aren't.
Classic "Retake or don't go" scenario.

Wisconsin & the stipend plus in-state tuition is your best option.

Whichever one isn't in Houston.
