Northwestern law work experience before graduation

Post by patman » Tue Mar 31, 2015 6:59 am

Hey, I'm currently attending senior year and I'm international applicant.

I'm EE major, and I worked as a developer full time in small electronic company in my country. But problem is that my working experience is before graduation, not after college graduate.

NW stated that they want 2 or more years after college graduate but I'm not.

Does my experience qualify what they need? My chance to NW is important because of ED scholarship.

Thank you.

I applied for the Northwestern ED this cycle. Your experience doesn't really count the way you're hoping, although it won't be ignored either. I'm pretty sure the "90% of the class has at least one year work experience, 70% has two or more" thing is really referring to years between undergrad and law school.

If your numbers are competitive you still have a shot. There have been a decent amount of K-JDs to get the ED scholarship. Work experience can help but it's not a firm requirement. I will have one year myself.

What are your stats? It might be difficult to guess at your chances due to the international factor.

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

No school can afford to be as picky as Northwestern used to be anymore.

Did you pay someone to take TOEFL for you?
