A Prospective Student's Worst Nightmare!

I had made my law school decision, was all set and excited to go to a reputable school in the Midwest for free, and then I read this thread from a few months ago:

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 2&t=244195 :(

What I fear is that this will diminish the quality of students at Iowa and SUNY Buffalo leading to students who would have gotten 150's, even scores in the 140's instead of 160+ getting in and matriculating and then I fear this will in turn lead to fewer job offers, and an eventual drop in the rankings for both schools.

I was a few weeks away from moving out to the cornfields, but have now started to reconsider other, less renowned schools I got accepted to with less scholarship money such as CU and Wake.

Cause for serious concern?

It is a serious concern. Michigan did this, and then they fell out of the T10. I probably wouldn't go anymore.

Maybe they will admit students that won't be as competitive on law school exams. Maybe you could end up with a better class rank. 8)

I'll help you out DaRascal:

I have inside information that the online law school I founded will be #1 when US News begins ranking online law schools in 2018. Its current medians are whatever your current GPA and LSATs are, so it is obviously a really good school. Sticker price is $30,000, but if you send a deposit of $500 now, you can qualify for a 50% scholarship. $15,000 a year is huge bargain at a school ranked #1, don't you think?

I'm not sure how competitive I'll be either. :?

It looks like these 10%'ers will be in the classes that follow mine, but I fear that they'll run around stuffing people into lockers, downing 40's in class, and showing up to OCI wearing backward baseball caps, gym shorts, and sandals thus damaging the long-term value of a JD from this school.

I'd prefer to go to law school with the 10%'ers, but the professional world isn't ready for it. We need to gradually change the legal profession. We have to play the suit and tie game at first. Drinking on the job and wearing comfty clothes to the firm won't be acceptable for another 25 years. I'll change the game, I promise you guys! 8)
