I'm in at Michigan with 75K, hopefully can get that matched by Duke. I think I want to live in Northern CA in the future but want to keep my options open and have a mobile degree.
Also in at Cornell, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, U of Washington (around 140K), USC (got low-balled but around 105K), George Washington (low balled).
WL at Northwestern and Penn
Rejected from Berkeley during FR2 (crushing).
Still waiting on Virginia, NYU, Stanford, U Chicago, Columbia, and UCLA
Where would you go if you were me?

Did you apply to UCLA or USC? If no, why not?

This makes no sense
Vanderbilt or u Texas for Montana public interest or big law?
You would be better off going to a CA school with a full ride.

I want a mobile degree because I'm also interested in Washington D.C. or Atlanta. So I think USC is out, probably UCLA too.

Michigan has a strong alum network in the Bay Area FWIW. Not sure how that actually translates into CA job prospects.

Placement below USC/UCLA at the CA schools is pure shit. I would much rather have Michigan with 75k than Santa Clara or Hastings with a full ride

Michigan plummeted to #11. Duke shot up to #8. The choice is simple.

A UCD or UCI full ride isn't the same as a Santa Clara or Hastings full ride. But with given offers OP could probably negotiate more money out of USC and might get a decent offer from UCLA
Maybe but I'd still take 75k at Michigan. OP wants biglaw

+1 unless OPs goal is the or public interest part of the post
Thanks for everyone's advice. And I guess since I am keeping all options open I'm going to assume biglaw so it's not out of the question later.

Definitely. But anytime I see "I want biglaw or public interest" I discount the public interest part

I know this is just arguing semantics, but is dropping one spot really "plummeting"?
