hi there,
if anyone could help out i would love it.

i have a 157, first take and a 3.96 gpa.

i would love to know if santa clara or uc hastings is a better school? i am looking to advocate for children, to clerk out of law school, and to work locally as well as internationally (curb child trafficking)

thank you!

I wish LST ScoreReports had a nice image box you could insert into posts, similar to mylsn.info

but anyway,

you should retake and not waste that GPA. Both of those schools aren't worth attending based on 2/3 of your goals

you guys should keep nesting retake quotes until it gets really silly, that way OP thinks it's just a joke and not actually good advice

UC Hasting and Santa Clara are both bad schools. You have a great GPA and it would be tragic for you to waste it on schools of this caliber. You NEED to retake the LSAT, especially since your goals probably require you to attend a much better school.

i would not retake because i dont think this is even a career in law. you should go to the peace corp in south america, learn spanish, and work for a non profit when you come back.
you should probably find someone on linkedin with a job you would like and reach out to them. because based on your description, i dont think that exists.

neither. Retake is the ONLY option. Or, don't go to law school.

actually retake is the worst option here. you should not go to law school, but if you do you surely shouldnt waste more time in the process of being disappointed. dont go to law school or readjust your career goals. dont retake with those career goals in mind though.

there's nothing wrong with wanting to be a legal advocate for children and wanting to clerking...as long as OP doesn't go into debt and doesn't expect to make any money

CA market is a shit show. Both of these schools would be terrible investments. Retake is the only option.

Don't waste that GPA when Berkeley is a PI-focused student's dream.
Retake.

One career path OP might want to consider is to work for a county counsel's office to do juvenile delinquency and dependency hearings. Unfortunately, these jobs can be hard to get without good grades and connections.

I would definitely recommend retaking. Once you start law school, you may learn that you love another area of the law, only to find your career options limited by the school you are attending.

thanks for your kindness. appreciate it. some people take a while to make the biggest decision of their lives.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to give me some advice. Even the person who said its not a career in law. Amused me.
