Best ranking to tuition for my numbers

From Wisconsin, live in Texas. Undergrad 3.9 at UTDallas. LSAT one time at 162.
4 year NCAA Athlete, white male (no help there). Great internship. For ease of calculations we will assume cost of living at each school is fixed at the same amount.
Looking for the most scholarship money at the best ranking school I can. Open to suggestions other than the ones i have applied to.
-UT (Im still deciding to go early binding or not. Early binding tuition 31k. Non-EB 49k. Have two letters from law professors that are alumni) If i get admitted EB will i get more scholarships? Is it possible to get NRTE w/o EB?
-SMU 46.5K
-ASU 42k Y1 (In state easy to attain, 27k 2&3)
-UGA 37k Y1 (In state easy to attain, 19k 2&3)
-UW Madison 21K
-Bama 36K
-UCLA 51K
-Duke 54K
Without telling me to RETAKE, let me know how much I could receive off list price of above schools and/or schools in warm weather states i should consider!

Damn that's weird. I live within sight of UTD. Literally can see the water tower out my bedroom window and I go to the library every day to study LSAT. Also a 4 year athlete at my UG. Nice. But you NEED to retake. You have a REALLY good GPA, and not retaking for a 170+ would be doing yourself an injustice. You earned that GPA, so basically you could get into any law school you wanted with a high enough LSAT

I cant really afford a study/prep class. Taking 21hours this fall and 5hr left in the spring to graduate so no time to study this fall really. I guess i could study while im jerking around in spring..
But for conversation purposes how far down the TLS rankings would I have to go for good scholarship money? I have a friend that went to UArk with a 3.6 157 on half scholarship and one that went to smu with 3.8 155 on 1/4 schollie. Seems realistic id currently get money somewhere

so you can't spend $1000 on a class, but you're willing to drop $150k+ on a law school that you may or may not get a job from attending?

There's no stigma in sitting out a cycle when applying to law school like there is between high school and college. You've got to let go of your irrational insistence to apply this cycle. Getting 5 more questions right on the LSAT makes all the difference in the world.

in fact, it's the opposite. At my school over 3/4 of the class took at least a year off, and it's considered to be a good thing.

The best tuition for your numbers is the $165 that the LSAC charges for retaking the LSAT. 4 points will give you the highest ROI on any investment in your entire life.

Don't be stupid, bro. There is plenty of time. This joke of a degree will still be here in 5 years. I made the mistake of not retaking and thinking more about whether being a lawyer was really a good choice comparatively. Retake, get a job and don't be another K-JD at a mediocre school waiting to be led to the slaughter.

1) You don't have to, and shouldn't, go to law school immediately following undergrad. Go get some work experience. Be a paralegal for two years. Make sure law is something you actually want to do. I know well meaning baby boomers like your parents are probably telling you to go to law school right away. Don't.
2) There are literally no good alternatives to retaking. If you retake and do well, you are in a VERY good position with that GPA. If you don't, as someone said, you're going to be just another unremarkable k-jd at a mediocre school waiting for the legal economy to make rough love to your butt. Retake. Also, forget those stupid prep classes. They're designed to get people scoring in the 150s slightly less mediocre scores. A 162 means you understand the fundamentals of the test, you just need to drill and work on your timing. Just do self study.

Retake is a win-win. You get into a better school and your work experience will help you get more/better job offers. Just take the time to get a 170+.

The schools you will get into now won't ding you for doing worse on a retake. The only thing you risk is time. As a recent college graduate hoping to change professions, there is no way that your time is more valuable than the financial and career advantage acquired with a retake. To use your athletic experience as an analogy, not retaking is like not watching what you eat, practicing or exercising, and expecting to win the match. You will have plenty of time to bang and drink after you retake. If the quality of your banging and drinking is worth a million dollars (when considering debt + interest, and employment outcome) then you have a great setup going, and shouldn't go into law.

UT - out with that LSAT most likely
SMU - probably in but expensive
ASU - In, but do you wanna be in Arizona?
UGA - Maybe in, but will be costly
UW - See UGA
Bama - Maybe in, will be paying a lot
UCLA - probably out
Duke - LOL
