I'm planning to work in one of the big IT company as legal counsel, will it be necessary to apply for a joint degree?

As someone who has worked in IT for two decades, I have seen very few attorneys at IT companies that know that much about IT.

There is no such thing as IT law.

If you can tell us what IT law actually is, maybe you'll get an answer.

I assume, of course, that you would not be asking this question if you did not have a job offer firmly in hand from a tech company or that you plan to attend a school that gives you an over 50% shot at getting a biglaw job that will give you the experience you need to get hired in-house. I continue to assume that you aren't going to pay for a JD degree from a non-elite school under the impression that someone at Facebook or Google is going to pass over the legions of ex-biglaw associates with relevant experience to hire someone who literally will not know anything about legal practice when they graduate.
